Angel Tree
Santa’s not the only one who gets to give.
Angel Tree comes around every Christmas season. It’s a chance for us to give gifts to children in need—some of whom have a parent in prison, some we know through Whiz Kids.
Angel Tree in 2011 was sweeter than ever before because:
- Our community gave generously. We purchased, wrapped and delivered over 5,400 gifts.
- God’s abundance shined. We served over 830 families.
Though these big numbers are amazing, the most incredible thing is the small moment when a child receives a gift with the message “God loves you” or “Mommy will be home soon” written on the gift tag. Opening a cool toy or game that was purchased specifically for them also brings joy to what could be a very sad, scary time during the holiday.
We’ll do Angel Tree again this year, and we’ll be joined by our friends in Florence. Check back in October for all serving opportunities at all three Crossroads locations.
